How Many Pipes Do I Need For My Tent?
The height of the chimney hole on your tent stove varies according to its distance from the base.
For example, let's assume the chimney hole's height from the base of your tent is 170 cm (5'9").
Considering the stove's elevation from the ground is around 40 cm (15.75 inches),
you'll need an additional pipe of 130 cm (51.18 inches) to reach just the chimney outlet.
However, considering the potential fire hazard due to burning particles emitted from the chimney,
we recommend the pipe length to be at least 150 cm (59.06 inches) above the exterior of the tent.
In this case, you'd require a 130 cm (to reach the outlet) + 150 cm (safety height) = 280 cm (110.24 inches) pipe.
Our pipes come in 30 cm (11.81 inches) lengths, so you'd need 280 / 30 = 9 or 10 pipes, depending on your preference.
Feel free to use this formula for your tent, caravan, or tiny house.
Optionally, we can manufacture longer single-piece pipes, but keep in mind that during travel, you'll lose the advantage of easily transporting the pipes inside the stove (oven and combustion chamber).
